Play a free Block Blast-style puzzle game directly in your browser. Place shapes on the grid, complete rows and columns, clear space, build combos, and try to beat your best score no download, installation, or account required.
This browser game is an independent implementation inspired by the block-placement puzzle format. It is not the official Hungry Studio Block Blast! mobile app.
The basic objective is simple: place the available block shapes onto the grid and clear complete rows or columns before the board becomes impossible to play. Unlike falling-block games, pieces don't automatically drop from the top you choose where each piece goes, so planning your available space is the most important part of the game.
You normally receive three pieces at a time. Place them in any order, and once they're used, another set appears. The game continues until none of the available pieces can be placed.
Points are earned by clearing completed rows and columns. Clearing multiple lines through a single placement scores more while also creating more usable space, and consecutive line clears build a combo multiplier in this game. Because scoring can differ between independent browser implementations and the official mobile app, exact point values here shouldn't be assumed to match every version of Block Blast. If you're focused on improving your score rather than just surviving longer, see our High Score guide.

Both are block-placement puzzle games, but they play quite differently. In Tetris, pieces fall automatically and you generally rotate and move them before they reach the bottom. In Block Blast-style gameplay, pieces are placed manually onto the board, giving you more time to think about the position the result is a puzzle focused more on space management and planning than reaction speed.
